Tal healthcare has been retained by one of the largest Family Services providers in the NYC area, to assist in their search for Vice President/Director of Information Technology (VPIT). This prestigious Not-For-Profit organization has been serving and advocating for 60,000 New Yorkers, for more than 100 years. Today through 85 programs, and 4000 employees in over 100 locations, they offer a continuum of care that gets young children off to a good start, launches youth into adulthood, stabilizes and strengthens families, and unlocks potential for children and adults with special needs.
The VPIT will be a strategic and visionary leader who can bring structure and alignment to existing Information Systems and Technology operations as well as, be the driver of strong IT Security. She/He will have solid experience in assessing the current state of the department and structure, to continue in the development of a high-performing and service-oriented team. The VPIT will be an innovator and visionary with the ability to anticipate future infrastructure needs of the organization. Being true to a not-for-profit company, the successfully candidate will have a history of managing an IT department budget and deliver strategies to create efficiencies, while reducing costs.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, the VPIT is the top Information Technology position in the company. As such the ideal candidate will a mission driven, effective change manager. The primary areas of responsibility the organizing and execution of all IT functions including but not limited to: end-user applications, network infrastructure, server and device management, computer operations and IT help desk services for the agency. The VPIT will be responsible to select and implement suitable technologies to streamline all operations, crate efficiencies, and optimize strategic benefits.
The VPIT will be the face of the entire IT division, should be well-spoken with the ability to influence positive change with the support of IT staff. Paramount to the success of this role, will be proven experience in managing IT departments of similar size and structure.
