Description: Hiring a Vice President, Revenue Cycle for a large public healthcare system. Reporting to the SVP Finance/Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President, Revenue Cycle, will lead all aspects of the revenue cycle including patient access, billing, collections, patient financial assistance, charge capture, revenue cycle integrity, clinical documentation, health information management and regulatory compliance and the systems that support the business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Defines, in collaboration with other members of executive leadership, the overall revenue cycle strategy for the health system.
  • Clearly defines, establishes and communicates revenue cycle performance expectations to achieve system goals. Drives process and quality enhancements that result in improvement in key performance measures.
  • Effectively communicates with the diverse constituents of revenue cycle to ensure that revenue cycle is exceeding the expectations of its many customers.
  • Participates in financial forecasting and planning along with other members of the executive team. Ensure that goals for A/R days, cash and bad debt management are accomplished as well as maximizing the net revenue collectability from all third-party payers.
  • Ensures team is adequately trained and prepared to meet today’ s demands as well as the future demands of an evolving healthcare industry being impacted by healthcare reform and other contributing factors. Ensures the development, implementation and compliance of appropriate policies and procedures regarding the revenue cycle function across the health system.
  • Assumes responsibility and takes ownership for own work as well as that produced by the Revenue Cycle function. Ensures that work is completed in an appropriate timeframe, using resources wisely, and providing follow up until projects and goals are complete/achieved.


Educational Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting;
  • Master’ s Degree and/or CPA preferred.


Experience Requirements:

  • 15 years progressive management experience in hospital/health care environment.
