Job Description
Our client, a prominent community healthcare provider dedicated to delivering comprehensive, culturally competent primary care, mental health services, and social support, is hiring a Site Medical Director, Family Medicine Physician. The Site Medical Director role offers an opportunity to lead clinical operations at a busy community health center, providing high-quality care to diverse populations. The successful candidate will oversee medical staff, supervise clinical workflows, and ensure compliance with quality standards, all while maintaining an active patient practice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate clinical services at the designated health center.
- Supervise and support clinical staff, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with the Center Director to manage day-to-day operations and improve patient care delivery.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate in patient care, seeing patients across all age groups.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and staff training programs.
- Engage in administrative duties, estimated at approximately one full day per week, within an overall schedule of 35 hours/week, including a mix of on-site and remote work.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of post-graduate/residency experience providing primary care services.
- Valid New York State medical license to deliver care.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage clinical teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: experience in community-based healthcare settings and familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations.
- Additional desirable qualifications include prior administrative experience, proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), and certification in family medicine.
