Description: Hiring a Service Line Administrator, Primary Care for a multispecialty medical group. This Service Line Administrator, Primary Care position, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for the operations and growth of both existing and emerging primary care physician practice groups; for developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with physicians and their practices, resulting in high physician and employee satisfaction. The Service Line Administrator, Primary Care provides operational support to primary care practices to ensure alignment with business, clinical, customer service and financial goals.
  • Monitors ongoing monthly performance and makes appropriate practice adjustments to ensure operational and budgetary success
  • Prepares monthly operations report and presents results to leadership and committees
  • Monitors operations within each practice site to ensure that patient access meets defined standards
  • Collaborates with the Chief Operating Officer on clinical, financial, human resources, information technology and revenue cycle management
  • Implements the strategic and tactical business/operating plans targeted to promote physician growth and enhancement of physician services and network development
  • Collaborates with members of management and executive leadership team, develops operational plans that establish clearly defined performance standards, metric and workflows that can be tracked to evaluate the organizations performance
  • Evaluate and implement standard operating policies and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of practice operations in collaboration with the organizations management and leadership teams
  • Collaborates with management team to deliver fiscally responsible and improving patient care
  • Works collaboratively with the Executive Director of Ambulatory Services and Executive Director of Physician Relations in coordinating issues and interests of the affiliated practices and with other physicians on the hospital’ s medical staff, hospital departments and hospital administration
  • With Chief Operating Officer, Finance team and Office/Practice Manager, develops the operational and capital budgets for primary care practices.
  • Works with Director of Revenue Cycle Management, practice management and 3rd party billing
  • Works with the Chief Operating Officer to implement marketing programs  
  • Identifies trends in patient satisfaction

Education Requirements:
  • Master’ s in Healthcare Administration or equivalent

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience managing physician practice group
  • Experience with Performance Improvement programs such as TQI, Lean, or 6 Sigma

Desired Skills:
  • High level of competency with billing and financial statement analysis such as P&L statements
  • Competency with statistics and statistical analysis
