Job Description

Our client, a community health center, is hiring a  Senior Human Resources Manager. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced HR leader to shape a progressive, people-first workplace. The Senior Human Resources Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for the full scope of HR functions, including employee relations, talent development, benefits administration, labor relations, and compliance. This role is central to advancing HR initiatives that foster an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with organizational values and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with VP of HR to align HR strategies with organizational priorities, support change management, and drive workforce planning.

  • Employee & Labor Relations: Address employee concerns, manage investigations and performance issues, support collective bargaining, and ensure compliance with labor laws.

  • Talent Development: Oversee performance management, lead training and leadership development efforts, and enhance onboarding and succession planning programs.

  • Benefits & Compensation: Administer benefits programs, manage open enrollment, ensure compliance with ACA/ERISA regulations, and oversee benefits reconciliation.

  • HR Operations & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, manage HRIS systems, update policies and procedures, support audits, and track HR metrics.

  • Team Leadership: Supervise HR staff, foster a responsive and transparent team culture, and lead HR service improvement initiatives.

  • Additional Duties: Manage departmental budgets, participate in cross-functional initiatives, and support programs related to DEI, wellness, and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a strategic or management role

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and benefits compliance

  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with HRIS and LMS platforms (e.g., ADP, Relias)

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in HR or related field

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification

  • Experience in unionized or healthcare environments
