Job Description
Our client, a Teaching Hospital Practice in the New York City area, is hiring a Regional Director of Operations. The Regional Director of Operations serves as a strategic partner for practice management, business development, practice acquisitions, organizational goal attainment, and efficient, patient centric, operational workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Builds sustainable and strategic relationships with member entities, partner institutions, and physician networks.
- Provides guidance on business plans, budgets, acquisitions, staffing ratios, and data evaluations.
- Ensures the highest patient care standards, optimizes productivity, and aligns practices with the Teaching Hospital Practice goals.
- Ensures a high-quality and safe patient experience, delivers superior support for medical providers, and drives productive and profitable medical practice operations.
- Promotes a team integrated approach to new and existing ambulatory (physician practice) practices in the Teaching Hospital Practice through meaningful partnerships with Human Resources, Finance, Operations, Revenue Cycle, Departments, and Physician Leaders
- Maintains and enhances systems which support practice standards and objectives. Maintains and enhances data collection and reporting including productivity to optimize workflows
- Interacts with all levels of practice management staff. Leads task forces and committees aimed at addressing specific issues or reaching strategic objectives.
- Routinely identifies opportunities for revenue enhancement, clinical expansion, and market share growth
- Develops and formally documents department policies and procedures. Supports established standards, communicates and monitors adherence to the policies and procedures.
- Develops positive working relationships with numerous MSO and corporate services including Revenue Cycle, Information Technology, Credentialing, Coding, Facilities and Real Estate, Human Resources, Physician Recruitment, Supply Chain Management, Financial Management.
- Creates systems for oversight of all major operations including, IT and maintenance issues, patient flow and experience, scheduling and auditing patient files
- Ensures development of protection for assets and properties (equipment, time and supplies), as well as patient property.
- Evaluates and maintains appropriate staffing ratios to ensure practice development and productivity goals.
- Oversees the preparation and monitoring of practice site income, expenses and capital budgets. Reviews and implements systems for all major expense requests, purchasing, accounts payable, staffing, and payroll
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in health care, Business Administration, Operations Management or related clinical field required. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of health care administrative management experience preferred.
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Practice Administrator, Office Manager, Operations Manager or a similar role in the healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of Epic preferred.
- A relationship and data driven individual, who creates, develops, and leads initiatives, which achieve multi-specialty practice objectives and support long-term, sustainable growth.
