Job Description

Our client, a uniquely innovative behavioral health management services organization under the umbrella of a large academic medical center in the Bronx, is hiring a Psychologist for their Workforce Development Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Medical Director in the implementation of standard operation policies and procedures to ensure that the program complies with all New York City's HRA contractual requirements.
  • Perform Psychological Assessments when a client disagrees with the Functional Capacity Outcome determination or when the Functional Capacity Outcome cannot be determined following the Clinical Assessment and possible mental health barriers to employment are present.
  • Act as a clinical support for the program staff in the fulfillment of funder contracted goals.


Job Requirements:

  • PhD or PsyD (Doctorate degree from an accredited psychology program)
  • Licensed Psychologist in the state of New York with active registration.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with knowledge of medical and or behavioral Health diagnoses required.
  • Able to assist and motivate clients to comply with assessment and reassessment appointments. Able to assist clients to access services to reduce barriers to compliance with appointments.
  • Knowledge and ability to use of various software systems including SEAMS, EPIC, etc., in order to document outreach, services, and activities in the client electronic recording.
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Possess strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
