Job Description
Our client, a leading organization dedicated to comprehensive behavioral health services, is hiring a Psychologist, CCBHC to join their interdisciplinary team. This vital role offers an opportunity to impact diverse populations by providing expert assessments and therapeutic interventions within a dynamic clinical environment. As a Psychologist, CCBHC, you will play a critical role in evaluating cognitive and neurological functioning for clients across multiple programs, including behavioral health and residential treatment services. You will assess developmental needs, deliver individualized treatment plans, and serve as a key consultant to treatment teams, families, and community partners. Your expertise will help foster successful client outcomes through the design and implementation of tailored interventions that address complex neurodevelopmental and emotional needs.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and interpret cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessments, providing detailed reports and actionable recommendations to support client treatment, education, and employment goals.
- Offer consultations, group supervision, and staff training focused on neurodivergent needs, treatment modifications, and development strategies.
- Deliver individual and group psychotherapy, ensuring accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record system, aligned with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute comprehensive treatment plans that consider each client’s developmental stage, abilities, and environmental context.
- Establish and strengthen partnerships with internal teams and external organizations to enhance service delivery.
- Provide support and guidance to families, caregivers, and systems to promote effective strategies tailored to clients’ neurological and emotional needs.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. with N.Y.S. certification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in evaluating and treating adolescents to young adults with serious emotional disabilities.
- Proven expertise in working with individuals with co-occurring mental health/substance use disorders and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD)/Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Experience working at a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)
- Skilled in administering and interpreting psychological, cognitive, and neurodevelopmental assessments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
