Description:  Hiring an Account Manager, Procurement for a top New York Academic Center. The Account Manager, Procurement will act as a liaison between assigned member sites and the centralized Supply Chain departments to relay feedback, resolves issues, and communicate major initiatives.  As the Account Manager, Procurement, the individual will understand and manage contract portfolios for the assigned site.

Responsibilities:

  • Aligns the strategic direction of assigned members and the Supply Chain Department;
  • Develop and manage accountability models (scorecards, etc.);
  • Develop and manage implementation plans for best practices collected and disseminated among Supply Chain members;
  • Develops annual comprehensive supply chain improvement plan;
  • Periodically reports to Supply Chain regarding supply chain improvement plan status for the assigned sites;
  • Understands and manages contract portfolio for assigned sites;
  • Acts as a liaison between assigned member sites and the centralized Supply Chain department to relay feedback, resolve issues, communicate major initiatives, etc.;
  • Present opportunities for standardization and value analysis


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required, masters degree preferred, with degree focus in business administration


Experience Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of progressive management experience related to supply chain, contracting, or operational/clinical consulting;
  • Understanding of Supply Chain processes, including contract terms and commitments;
  • Proficient in designing, implementing, and monitoring innovative process improvement programs;
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation coupled with acute knowledge of multiple client/customer service lines;
  • Leadership skills including the ability to facilitate and build consensus among diverse groups, strong persuasive presentation skills, and the ability to work in a team environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with limited direct supervision;
  • Ability to travel dependent on representation geography, potentially up to 50%
