Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional pediatric care, is hiring a Pediatrician to join their dedicated team in Queens, NY. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments including vision, hearing, growth monitoring, and blood tests to diagnose and manage common childhood conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat a range of acute illnesses, minor injuries, and chronic conditions such as asthma, obesity, and mental health concerns.
  • Perform developmental screenings and specialized services like autism assessments and preventive health counseling.
  • Educate patients’ families on health, safety, nutrition, and injury prevention, ensuring clear communication of complex medical information.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in clinical meetings, and engage in health promotion activities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of clinical encounters within the electronic medical record (ECW), ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and shared on-call responsibilities, including nights and weekends.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, billing procedures, and state/federal regulations to uphold the highest standards of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD)
  • BE/BC in Pediatrics
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Valid New York State medical license.
  • Current BLS, DEA, and infection control certifications.
  • Excellent bedside manner and strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish or South Asian languages is desirable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records, specifically ECW.
