Job Description
Our client, a renowned academic medical center, is hiring a Hematologist Oncologist Physician to join their dedicated team in serving an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population. This full-time faculty position offers an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care while engaging in teaching, clinical research, and multidisciplinary collaboration within a dynamic academic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver inpatient and outpatient clinical care for patients with hematological malignancies, coagulation disorders, and solid tumors.
- Perform chemotherapy infusions and consults, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered treatment.
- Educate residents, medical students, and fellows, fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.
- Participate actively in clinical research to advance the understanding and treatment of hematologic and oncologic conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a supportive academic setting, contributing to departmental objectives and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- MD degree with board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology.
- Valid New York State Medical License, DEA, and Medicaid number.
- Experience managing hematologic malignancies and coagulation disorders.
- Comfortable providing care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Strong communication skills with a commitment to underserved communities.
