Job Description

Our client, a renowned multi-specialty physician group dedicated to providing comprehensive and patient-centered healthcare across the Hudson Valley region, is hiring a Pulmonologist. This pivotal role offers an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality respiratory care within a collaborative, community-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient pulmonary evaluations, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, infections, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
  • Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies such as pulmonary function tests, imaging, and laboratory results.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans adhering to evidence-based guidelines.
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Coordinate with hospital-based providers for inpatient consultations and services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhering to clinical standards and policies.
  • Educate and counsel patients to support disease management and preventive health measures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Pulmonary Medicine fellowship.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease.
  • Active or eligibility for a New York State medical license.
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
