Job Description
Our client, a renowned multi-specialty healthcare provider serving the Hudson Valley region, is hiring a Physician – Internal Medicine to join their dynamic team. This vital role offers the opportunity to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care across multiple locations, contributing significantly to community health and well-being.
As an Internal Medicine Physician, you will provide primary and preventive medical services to adult patients, diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions in an outpatient setting. Working within a collaborative, team-based environment, you will foster long-term patient relationships, promote health maintenance, and coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services to ensure optimal health outcomes. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, preventive care, and active participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver full-spectrum internal medicine services, including diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines.
- Provide preventive health counseling, lifestyle advice, and health promotion strategies.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and outpatient diagnostics to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient management.
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records compliant with regulatory standards.
- Engage in continuous medical education, quality improvement activities, and clinical performance initiatives.
- Uphold all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Active and unrestricted New York State medical license or eligibility.
- Current DEA registration.
- Proven commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based medicine.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records and quality metrics preferred.
- Ability to work a minimum of 30 hours weekly, with expectations averaging 40 hours, including overtime as necessary.
