Job Description

Noninvasive Cardiologist (Academic/Teaching) — Queens, NY 

A large community teaching hospital in Queens, New York, serving a highly diverse patient population, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Noninvasive Cardiologist to join an established cardiology team. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians who enjoy a strong diagnostic cardiology practice, teaching, and a stable, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE)
  • Perform/interpret TEE and stress testing
  • Interpret EKGs, Holters, and event monitors
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consults (rotational)
  • Participate in a CCU rotation (as scheduled)
  • Teach/supervise medical students, residents, and/or advanced practice providers

Typical Schedule / Clinical Mix (approx.)

  • Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
  • Clinic: ~½ day per week
  • Inpatient consults: ~2-week rotation every ~10 weeks (or equivalent)
  • Remainder of time focused on diagnostic reading/testing

Call

  • 1 weeknight per week
  • 1 weekend every ~5 weeks

Qualifications

  • MD/DO
  • BC/BE in Cardiology (Noninvasive) and Echocardiography 
  • Eligible for New York State licensure
  • Interest in teaching in a hospital-based training environment
