Transplant Hepatologist
Job Description
Our client, Hudson Valley's premier healthcare network, is hiring a Transplant Hepatologist. From Level 1, Level 2 and Pediatric Trauma Centers, this is the region's only acute care children's hospital, an academic medical center, several community hospitals, dozens of specialized institutes and centers, a state of the art Telemedicine program, skilled nursing, assisted living facilities, homecare services and one of the largest mental health systems in New York State.
Join their expanding Hepatology Transplant program, which ranks 75th for transplants and 2nd highest outcomes in NYS. This is a unique program with Advanced Hepatology patients and about 85 surgeries per year.
Responsibilities:
- Develop elective population early on in disease.
- Provide care for pre/post-transplant patients with in-patient consults.
- Treat pre-transplant patients and follow post transplant patients in outpatient clinic.
- 1500+ patients followed post transplant.
- Academic productivity-faculty appointment.
- Provide didactics to medical school students and residents.
- Engage in quality projects.
- Superior interpersonal/communication skills.
Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Fellowship trained in Transplant Hepatology
- ABIM for Transplant Hepatology
- New York State Medical License.
