Job Description
Our client, a leading independent teaching hospital at the forefront of medical innovation and patient-centered care, is seeking a Primary Care Physician (Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) with a special interest or focus in pulmonary health to join its dynamic ambulatory care team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a mission-driven physician to practice full-spectrum outpatient primary care while contributing to pulmonary care initiatives within a high-performing multispecialty group practice.
Position Highlights:
- 100% Outpatient – No nights, weekends, or hospital call
- Monday–Friday schedule offering strong work-life balance
- Join a collegial, academically affiliated environment with access to subspecialty collaboration
- Opportunity to work in a busy, well-established multispecialty clinic serving a diverse urban population
- Leadership supports innovation, population health, and professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care, with emphasis on prevention, diagnosis, and management of chronic and acute illnesses
- Serve as a clinical resource for pulmonary-focused care within the practice
- Participate in care coordination and quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in collaborative, team-based care with a focus on health equity and access
Qualifications:
- MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligible for an unrestricted New York State medical license
- Active or eligible enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid
- Current BLS or ACLS certification
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
- Open to both experienced physicians and recent residency graduates
