Job Description
Our client, a not-for-profit teaching hospital serving an ethnically diverse residential neighborhood of New York City, is hiring a Physician Assistant.
This is a non surgical role in Neurology.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical patient care, as established by Department
- Communicating with other medical professionals to ensure that all aspects of treatment are followed
- Performing diagnostic tests such as MRI scans, CT scans, EEGs, and nerve conduction studies
- Providing patients with information about their diagnosis and treatment options
- Performing neurological examinations to assess a patient’s mental status and neurologic function
- Ordering or interpreting diagnostic tests such as MRIs or EEGs
- Prescribing medications and monitoring patients’ responses to treatment
- Union: 1199
- M – F Shift: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Requirements:
- PA-C
- Physician Assistant License
