With a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, our client is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join their dynamic surgical team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient well-being by providing surgical and peri-operative care under the supervision of experienced physicians. As a Physician Assistant (PA) in our Surgery department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Documentation:
- Thoroughly assess and document the medical history of pre-operative patients.
- Prepare accurate documentation for patient admissions.

Pre and Post-Operative Care:
- Assist in pre-operative preparations and post-operative follow-up care.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Renew medications for patients as necessary.

Diagnostic Testing and Coordination:
- Order and coordinate necessary diagnostic tests, such as labs, X-rays, CT/MRI scans, and physical therapy renewals.
- Monitor and communicate the status of patients post-surgery.

Patient Communication and Education:
- Offer clear and empathetic communication to patients and their families.
- Provide discharge instructions and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Surgical Assistance:
- Serve as a first assistant in surgical procedures alongside attending physicians.
- Handle emergency room consultations and admissions efficiently.

In-Patient Care:
- Deliver high-quality in-patient care, including rounding, progress notes, dressing changes, and monitoring lab results.
- Follow up on post-operative orders to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Discharge Coordination:
- Coordinate and complete all necessary documentation for patient discharge.
