Job Description
Our client, a pain management and rehabilitation center, is currently seeking to hire a Physician Assistant. The Physician Assistant will see new patients as well as perform follow-up care management. The Physician Assistant may also assist the physician during surgery. The Physician Assistant must be self- motivated to learn, energetic, confident, and flexible, possess effective personal skills, and dependable.
Responsibilities:
- Examine new patients and perform assessments
- Perform follow-up care management tasks and inform the patient of additional information regarding their condition
- May assist the physician during surgery
- Prescribe and monitor medications and have knowledge of controlled medications schedules
- Responsible for evaluating and managing controlled medications
- Follow the plan of care established by the physician
Requirements:
- Graduate of an Accredited PA program
- Active New York License desired
- Knowledge of Controlled medication schedules
- Knowledge of ERX and EMR systems
- Must be self- motivated to learn, energetic, confident, and flexible, possess effective personal skills, and dependable
- Spanish speaking preferable
- New Grads are welcome to apply
