Job Description
Our client, a premier ambulatory diagnostic clinic serving Westchester County, NY is hiring a Radiology Physician Assistant (PA).
Responsibilities:
- Provides outpatient care.
- Obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations; writing progress notes, procedure notes, and monthly care plans, ordering and/or performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; conducting pre and post operative examinations; formulating a diagnosis; developing and implementing a treatment plan; monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions; offering counseling and education to meet patient needs; making appropriate referrals.
- Work collaboratively with all members of multidisciplinary Orthopedics and Radiology team including Orthopedic-attending physicians, physical therapists, radiologic technologists and medical assistants.
- Facilitates the coordination of complex patient care.
- Works collaboratively with the attending physician to maintain timely and appropriate communication with patients and family members both in person and over the phone/video.
- Assists in the coordination of research endeavors and clinical trials, including patient screening, enrollment, and ensuring required diagnostic studies and documentation are appropriate and available for data collection.
- Participates in the development and monitoring of patients outcome for purposes and quality improvement.
- Considers the needs and behaviors of specific patient age, social background, and cultural group in all patient care.
- Work within team to identify and eliminate or minimize potential barriers to treatment or access to patient care for Radiology patients.
- Assist radiologists by taking family history, describing a procedure, performing fluoroscopic procedures, ordering additional images and making preliminary judgments of images.
- Radiologic and sonographic- guided procedures.
- Promotes own professional growth and development in clinical role.
- Participates in clinical trails as needed.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hour Day shift, Onsite
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant program
- Registered as a Physician's Assistant in New York State
- BLS & ACLS
- NYS Physician Assistant License (Required)
- NCCPA certification (Required)
- 3+ years clinical experience preferred
- 1+ year radiology experience preferred
