Job Description
Our client, a top teaching hospital in New York City, is hiring a Neurology Physician Assistant (PA).
Responsibilities:
- Obtaining patient histories and performing physical examinations; writing progress notes, procedure notes, and monthly care plans, ordering and/or performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; conducting pre and post operative examinations; formulating a diagnosis; developing and implementing a treatment plan; monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions; offering counseling and education to meet patient needs; making appropriate referrals.
- Works collaboratively with the attending physician to maintain timely and appropriate communication with patients and family members
- Work within the team to identify potential stroke patients; knowledge of the stroke code is a plus.
- Schedule: 4x10, 7am-5pm, or 3x12.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant program
- Registered as a Physician's Assistant in New York State
- BLS & ACLS
- NYS Physician Assistant License
- NCCPA certification
