Job Description
Our client, a well-established adult primary care practice in New Haven, CT, with 25 years of dedicated service and a growing patient base, is hiring a Physician Assistant - Adult Primary Care. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive adult healthcare in a collaborative environment, supporting long-term patient relationships and practicing at the top of your license. Responsibilities:
- Manage a patient load of approximately 17-20 adult patients per day, delivering quality primary care services.
- Conduct physical exams, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions.
- Facilitate patient education and health promotion.
- Collaborate with physicians and other team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays, via text or phone triage.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Adhere to practice policies and meet required clinical standards.
- Maintain and expand clinical knowledge to ensure up-to-date patient care.
Requirements:
- NCCPA certification and current Connecticut licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in adult primary care; new graduates with relevant clinical exposure are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical skills in managing adult patients with diverse health needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic proficiency with common EHR platforms.
