Job Description
Our client, a comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and specialty services provider in Brooklyn, is hiring a Director of Perioperative Services. This incredible hospital is ready to welcome a Director of Perioperative Services to its rapidly growing surgical services team. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer as well as partnering with Chairmen and CEO, the Director of Perioperative Services will join a large non-profit newly renovated hospital offering great resources and career growth opportunities. This hospital system has longstanding connections within their community and are committed to providing excellent healthcare services to those who need them the most.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision to the Operating Room Nurse Manager, Perioperative Nurse Supervisors, OR educator, and OR staff.
- Conduct staff evaluations, spearhead professional development initiatives, ensure compliance of standards set by the facility, and take charge of short and long-term projects for the unit.
- Assist in managing the department's budget and additional administrative duties when needed.
- Oversee 8 state of the art OR’s, 4 GI suites, 2 IR suites, Cath Lab, Neuro, Dialysis and Robotics.
- Relationship building and community provider outreach is expected in this role.
- Optimize surgery schedules for efficient workflow in the OR
Requirements:
- Managing expenses and revenue reimbursement experience needed.
- A strategic leader who is ready to bring about change is crucial.
- Master’s degree in business or related field
- 5-10 years’ experience in an Operating Room RN and /or revenue cycle experience for Operating Room/ Interventional Programs.
Salary: $215,000-$225,000. This salary range is not a guarantee. The actual salary will be based on qualifications, experience, and education and could fall outside of this range. Contact us for more information.
