Description: Our client, a nationally renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently hiring a Performance Engineer.
Responsibilities

  • Work on process improvement in the realms of Operational Efficiency, Quality and Patient Experience.
  • Utilize data visualizations and analytical solutions to deliver data-driven recommendations to Montefiore Executives and Leaders.
  • Champion the redesigning of workflows and operational processes by applying their knowledge of improvement methodologies and tools such as Lean Six Sigma Implementation, IHI Improvement Model, PDSA Cycle, Work Breakdown Structure, Schedule Optimization, Probability and Statistics.


Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics or closely related field required.
  • Previous experience in leading and facilitating process improvement teams to analyze process, identify key drivers and implement change ideas; preferably in healthcare (hospital or health system).
  • Previous experience accessing and interpreting large data sets to gather insight and inform decision making; preferably in healthcare (hospital or health system).
  • Effective communication with individuals throughout the continuum of an organization, from top level executives to frontline staff.
  • High proficiency Microsoft Office and related analytical programs (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Power Pivot).
  • 1+ years of experience as a Management Engineer or Performance Improvement Leader in health care settings (preferably in the acute care hospital setting).
