Job Description
Our client, a successful Revenue Cycle company in New York, has an opening for an Out of Network Medical Billing Specialist to join their team. This position will work with multiple clients and specialties.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the No Surprise Act
- Able to communicate with patients or large physician groups regarding out of network balances
- Understand Fair Health guidelines.
- Schedule and perform regular timely collection follow up telephone calls on all assigned accounts.
- Experience with Arbitration to resolve claim disputes
- Identify and resolve any claim delay issues that impact billing and collections
- Post payments
- Follow up on payment errors
- Accurately interpret EOB and collections report
- Provide timely notation of action taken on patient accounts and special reports.
Educational Requirements:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with a minimum 2 years’ experience as a Medical Biller.
- College degree is preferred.
- Out of Network Insurance experience
- Excellent Customer service
