Description: Our client, a nationally renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently hiring a Nurse Manager General Surgery Practice.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest quality of patient care for the general surgery practice
- Coordinate nursing and clinical support staff
- Interview, train, and evaluate clinical support staff
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies and procedures
- Participate in reviews of medical documentation and clinical care
- Develop and implement a system for providing triage of telephone and in-person patient requests for care
- Develop and implement a system of follow-up for laboratory results and clinical care
Job Requirements:
- RN Bachelor's degree required
- RN Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience as an RN
- NYS RN License
- Clinical experience with demonstrated administrative and management experience
- The ability to work closely with an administrative team as colleague, as well as a leader
