Description: Our client, a nationally renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently hiring a Nurse Manager General Surgery Practice.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure the highest quality of patient care for the general surgery practice
  • Coordinate nursing and clinical support staff
  • Interview, train, and evaluate clinical support staff
  • Ensure compliance with clinical policies and procedures
  • Participate in reviews of medical documentation and clinical care
  • Develop and implement a system for providing triage of telephone and in-person patient requests for care
  • Develop and implement a system of follow-up for laboratory results and clinical care

Job Requirements: 

  • RN Bachelor's degree required
  • RN Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as an RN
  • NYS RN License
  • Clinical experience with demonstrated administrative and management experience
  • The ability to work closely with an administrative team as colleague, as well as a leader
