Job Description
Our client, a leading teaching hospital in New York City, is hiring two Nephrologists to join a dynamic, academically driven division. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on teaching, work with a robust consult team, and contribute meaningfully to patient care and physician training.
Responsibilities
- Patient Caseload: Manage 5–10 patients per day
- Oversee patient care and teaching
- Teaching & Mentorship: Serve as preceptor to fellows and residents in an active Nephrology Fellowship Program. Promote a strong academic and mentorship culture with an emphasis on teaching skill development
- Join a collaborative division of Nephrologists
Requirements
- Completion of a Nephrology Fellowship
- Eligibility for Assistant Professor appointment
- Open to J-1 and H-1B visa candidates
- New fellowship graduates welcome
- Strong preference for 2025 availability; will consider 2026 grads
- Desire to work in a teaching-focused environment with strong emphasis on mentorship and scholarly engagement
