Title: Medical Director, Primary Care

Description: Our client, a provider of high-quality patient-centered primary care targeted to the needs of medically underserved communities, is hiring a Medical Director.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical management of the practice and program, including direct supervision of all clinical providers and monitoring the practice and on-site programs for meeting the organization’s access goals, quality performance measures, regulatory compliance, training programs, and research initiatives.
- Maintain a clinical practice
- Schedule will include one evening session weekly and one weekend day monthly
- Direct supervision of all providers who are assigned to this practice as their primary site
- Performs semiannual evaluations of all providers who are assigned to this practice as their primary site, and their annual competency evaluations
- Organizes monthly meetings with providers with documented minutes of meetings
- Participates in monthly office management meeting with nurse manager and office manager of site
- Ability to collaborate with all other clinical discipline as applicable to the site (dental, psychiatry and other clinical staff)
- Monitor and Manage Site Quality Performance
- Demonstrates an understanding of health care systems and the ability to apply this knowledge to improve and optimize health care
- Precepts residents, medical students, and other health professional trainees as appropriate
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited medical school and an accredited residency program
- NY State Medical License
- Board Certified Family Medicine
- Current BCLS
- Current DEA Certificate
- Basic computer and internet navigational skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Electronic Health Records Technology
- Proficiency in conversational Spanish, preferred
