Description: Hiring a Human Resource Business Partner for a top medical center in Connecticut. The Human Resource Business Partner is primarily responsible for employee relations and full-cycle recruitment and retention for assigned clients.  As an internal consultant, the Human Resource Business Partner will assist with Human Resource specific projects, employee training, Human Resource Policy interpretation and application, and Performance Management.  The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for contractor files, and key operational functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Handle employee relations for assigned departments, including HIPAA violations, attendance issues, and other performance issues
  • Recruit for professional positions such as allied health, IT, finance, analytics, etc.
  • Assist with Human Resource specific projects, employee training
  • Interpret Human Resource Policy and application and performance management

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Preferred majors: Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or Healthcare Administration

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working in a Human Resources generalist capacity is required. Prior Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience facilitating presentations and speaking to large audiences is preferred.

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of Human Resources regulations including: EEO/AA, ADA, FLSA and ability to explain impact on interviewing and selection process is required.
  • Superior verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • MS Office skills.
  • Knowledge of HR databases.
