Job Description

In this role you would be part of a team involved in the vital functions of strategic leadership and planning, tactical leadership, system/process development, training, and development, and change management within the realm of Supply Chain and Procurement. You would need to leverage Lean Six Sigma methodology, this position focuses on process analysis, time/cost studies, process simulation, process and quality enhancement, financial and organizational planning, and information system design. It involves generating statistical reports and analyses adhering to set standards and providing process improvement services to stakeholders upon request. The incumbent is tasked with deciphering ambiguous problem statements, drafting project charters, planning, initiating, and overseeing the execution of all project components. Furthermore, you would be responsible for identifying key data insights essential for enhancing decision-making processes throughout the Supply Chain and Procurement domains and defining insights required for improved decision making across the supply chain.  
Requirements:
  • Lead process design/redesign initiatives utilizing diverse methodologies including system/operations analysis, demand forecasting, constraint analysis, queuing theory application, simulation modeling, workflow analysis, and comprehensive financial analysis.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to administrative staff in project management and development. Team gathers data and information through reports, rounding observation and/or department submission.
  • Adhere and assists with business operations and project specific quality documents (for example: SOPs, work plans/practices, training guides).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across the Health System, meet project deliverables.
  • Oversee the implementation of optimal processes to enhance service delivery to patients and their families, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Foster an environment conducive to clinicians and associates, facilitating the delivery of high-quality services through streamlined processes and optimal working conditions.
  • Employ benchmarking applications, databases, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies for optimal management and effective and efficient processes.  Identify and adopt best practices, thereby enhancing overall process performance.
  • Ability to streamline processes, recommend centralization of services/systems, standardization of products/processes, and to identify savings through process improvements.
  • Timely preparation of ad-hoc presentations requested by leadership. Ad-hoc analysis meeting requirements
  • Identification and elimination of non-value activities.
  • Evaluate the organization's methods, processes, procedures, and services against industry-leading benchmarks to continuously improve and align with best practices.
  • Reducing system transactions and streamlining processes reducing number of transactions leading to reduction of time to perform specific process steps and/or other forms of cost savings or cost avoidance. Initiation and implementation of cost reduction/ containment programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree, Industrial or Systems Engineering or a related field, master’s degree preferred.
  • Degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering or a related field with a focus on Management Engineering, Information Technology, Healthcare and or Operations Research required. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Basic analytics skills and data processing in Excel, business process modeling, Lean Six Sigma methodologies (preferred)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project
  • Simulation modeling software
  • Programming languages: Python, SQL, JAVA, C# preferred.
  • Technical skills related to Supply Chain, ERP systems, Healthcare, etc.
