Job Description
Our client, a state of the art multispecialty outpatient practice associated with a a nationally recognized, top-quality, patient-centered network, is hiring a full-time Gynecologist, Fibroid specialist for its Manhattan location. This is an exciting opportunity for a gynecologist to become part of a large team of experts in the field, and a key provider within a nationally recognized, top-quality, patient-centered network. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations of patients presenting with symptoms suggestive of fibroids.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic techniques such as ultrasound, MRI, and other imaging modalities to accurately diagnose fibroids.
- Assess the size, location, and characteristics of fibroids to determine the most appropriate treatment approach.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including radiologists, oncologists, and reproductive endocrinologists, as needed, to optimize patient care.
- Demonstrate proficiency in advanced surgical techniques for challenging cases, including fertility-sparing approaches and procedures for patients desiring future pregnancies.
- Provide compassionate support and guidance to patients throughout their treatment journey, addressing concerns and answering questions with empathy and sensitivity.
- Educate patients about fibroids, including their causes, symptoms, and treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions about their healthcare.
- Perform surgical procedures with precision and proficiency, including minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic or robotic-assisted myomectomy.
- Provide comprehensive counseling on treatment options, including medical management, minimally invasive procedures (such as uterine artery embolization or myomectomy), and surgical interventions (such as hysterectomy).
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances, considering factors such as the size and location of fibroids, symptoms, reproductive goals, and patient preferences.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Additional training or experience in the management of fibroids.
- License to practice medicine in NY state
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dedication to staying current with advances in the field through continuing education and professional development.
