Job Description

Our client, a prominent healthcare organization committed to enhancing community wellness and providing exceptional medical services, is hiring a Vice President of Finance. This highly visible role is positioned to be a finance leader wih exposure and growth opportunities that include broader organizational responsibilities in the short and longer term.  This critical leadership role oversees financial planning, reporting, and strategic management to support the organization’s mission-driven growth and stability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of operating and capital budgets.
  • Prepare and present financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee third-party reimbursement reports and optimize revenue through regulatory insights.
  • Manage cash flow to meet organizational needs while maintaining reserves for growth and emergencies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits and pension plan statements.
  • Guide financial systems improvements and updates in collaboration with software vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements, including timely filing of cost reports.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to analyze variances, identify efficiencies, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Support organizational growth through strategic financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Foster a team-oriented management style, promoting continuous improvement and compliance.

Requirements

  • CPA required
  • Minimum of five years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably within healthcare.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), and accounting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement regulations, GAAP, and audit procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate emotional stability, and relate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including residents, families, and staff.
  • Physical and mental capacity to meet the demands of the role, including occasional extended hours.
  • Valid licenses and certifications as required for financial management and healthcare compliance.
