Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider dedicated to community health and comprehensive outpatient services, is hiring a Family Medicine Physician. This esteemed facility seeks a compassionate and experienced Family Medicine Physician to deliver high-quality primary care services in Brooklyn, NY. The role offers a unique opportunity to serve a diverse patient population while maintaining a balanced work schedule within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in a predominantly outpatient setting with an expected volume of approximately 18–20 patients daily during 8-hour clinic sessions.
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions.
  • Participate in quality management and performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Mentor medical students informally, fostering professional development within the clinic.
  • Engage in administrative responsibilities related to patient care and clinic operations.
  • Collaborate with full onsite support staff, including LPNs, RNs, and MAs, to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
  • Adhere to scheduled working hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM), with occasional extended hours (12:00 PM–7:30 PM) once weekly; no weekend clinics are required.
  • Be available for rotating 24-hour on-call phone coverage, typically one week per month, involving phone-only consultations.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree with valid licensing to practice in New York State.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a similar outpatient setting is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish highly preferred, given the predominantly Hispanic patient demographic.
  • Excellent communication skills, compassionate bedside manner, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • No visas are sponsored for this position; candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and accept new residency graduates.
