Job Description
Our client, a leading social services organization, is hiring a Vice President of Faciliteis and Fleet Compliance to oversee and ensure the smooth operation of their physical infrastructure. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant environment that supports the organization’s mission of delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison for facilities operations, coordinating with various departments, including residential and office sites, to meet operational needs.
- Develop and implement strategic plans (3-5 years) for space utilization, maintenance, equipment procurement, and fleet management.
- Lead the bidding process for large-scale maintenance projects; evaluate and award contracts in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Oversee completion of maintenance work ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to regulatory standards, including OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Manage fleet operations, including acquisition, leasing, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
- Supervise maintenance staff across locations, managing schedules, payroll, expenses, and task completion.
- Monitor and control costs related to facilities and fleet; maintain detailed records for profitability analysis.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Maintain inventory control of tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Participate in strategic planning, budget development, and maintaining vendor relationships.
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all operational areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Certifications related to facilities or safety are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in facilities, maintenance, or related management roles within healthcare or similar sectors.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, mobile technologies.
- Knowledge of building codes, DMV regulations, and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and collaborate across departments.
- On-call availability during the day and potential night shifts for emergency response.
