Description: Hiring an Employee Relations Manager for a top academic medical center. The Employee Relations Manager will work with various departments and advise management on matters related to: employee and labor relations issues, disciplinary matters, collective bargaining, grievances and arbitrations. The Employee Relations Manager will establish and maintain strong and constructive relationships with management and union representatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong and constructive relationships with management and union representatives
  • Oversee all aspects and concerns regarding employee relations
  • Oversee disciplinary action and advise departments on what to do
  • Advise management on matters related to: employee and labor relations issues, disciplinary matters, collective bargaining, grievances and arbitrations
  • Conduct workplace investigations in a timely manner ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.  

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of Employee and Labor Relations experience
  • Experience interpreting contracts preferred
  • Experience with 1199 and NYSNA or other unions preferred
  • Healthcare background preferred
