Job Description
Our client, a respected certified home health agency dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in Queens, NY, is hiring a Director of Clinical Operations. Led by a mission-driven philosophy, this leadership role requires a dynamic individual to oversee all clinical services, ensuring compliance with CMS standards, New York State Department of Health regulations, and infection control protocols. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and drive quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety and clinical excellence. This position offers the opportunity to influence organizational growth while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational oversight of all clinical services within the agency.
- Ensure adherence to Medicare Conditions of Participation, New York State regulations, and CMS standards.
- Lead, mentor, and support clinical managers and multidisciplinary teams to promote best practices.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives, performance metrics, and patient safety outcomes.
- Oversee clinical documentation, OASIS submissions, quality reporting, audits, and surveys.
- Manage staffing plans to ensure appropriate staffing levels, cost-effective care, and compliance.
- Oversee utilization of charitable care services.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on fiscal planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Partner with business development to support program development and organizational growth.
- Participate in on-call supervisory rotations as needed.
- Support personnel policies, compensation structures, and benefits aligned with legal standards.
Requirements:
- Current New York State license as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, or Occupational Therapist.
- BSN with Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years management experience in a CHHA setting.
- Deep knowledge of CHHA operations, OASIS, quality reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing clinical teams.
- Proven ability to analyze data and implement quality improvements.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support a mission-focused culture.
- Willingness to participate in on-call supervisory duties.
