Description: Our client, a world-class, patient-centered, integrated, academic medical center, and one of the nation's premier centers for excellence in clinical care, biomedical research, and medical education, is hiring a Director, Ambulatory Practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the day-to-day activities of multiple ambulatory practices.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues as they relate to the Ambulatory Practices
- Oversee the facility programming and work with RED+F to address any physical plant needs
- Reports any operating issues that may have an impact on financial results to Leadership
- Meet regularly with leadership to report operating and financial results
- Monitors quality metrics including PQRS / Meaningful use and coordinates process improvements
- Overseas an internal staff to manage calls within the practice access
- Works with call center leadership to develop call algorithms to expedite patient access.
- Manages fronted business processes including charge capture, authorization/certification, co-pay collections, etc.
- In conjunction with Ambulatory Practice leadership, collaboratively responsible for implementing business plan components and monitoring achievement of benchmarks and goals, and changing direction as needed.
- Participates in financial management including development of annual operating budgets and participation in business development.
- Develops staffing needs to support patient care and operational needs.
- Works with Ambulatory Practice leadership to ensure accreditation standards are always maintained.
- Monitor and maintain the performance practice standards and works with the physicians and staff to assure the defined targets standards for access, productivity, customer service, and other business performance standards are met.
- Partner with the Director, Ambulatory Transitions to transition new Physicians into the appropriate ambulatory site.
- Interacts with Administrative Practice Managers from various departments
- Oversees the clinical and administrative information systems in collaboration with the Information
- Technology contacts to enhance the clinical operations and business activities within the practices.
- Plans, develops, directs and monitors initiatives to improve revenue cycle processes.
- Oversees the business office functions of the practices and serves as primary contact with billing vendors.
- Collaborates with the Practice Managers/Leaders to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and employees, including the development of business continuity plans.
- Plans, develops, directs and monitors initiatives to improve patient care.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in health care administration or similar preferred.
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
