Description:  Our client, a large integrated health system in the New York Metro area, is looking to hire a Compensation Analyst to join their Team.  In this role we are looking for a strong Compliance Analyst to serve as a member of their Human Resources team.  Strong organizational skills and the ability to assist with analyses to support the health system’s privacy programs and assure compliance with Federal and State information privacy regulations. In this role you will provide compensation consulting, education, and analytical support to medical center management, Employee Relations, and HR Business Partners.  


Job Responsibilities:  
  • Perform compensation analyses, including labor and pay laws.  Recommend salary structure and compensation program changes.
  • Administer and implement merit review programs for professional & management positions.
  • Consult with departments concerning compensation, contract interpretation, and Compensation Policy.
  • Assist in the implementation of across-the-board increases and the implementation of union agreements.
  • Prepare salary scales for various groupings in accordance with corresponding contracts.
  • Maintain incident tracking and documentation system for privacy, consistent with HIPAA and state regulatory requirements.
  • Review, analyze and make recommendation on appropriate classification and compensation for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Conduct salary surveys.
  • Analyze survey data and make recommendations to management and Labor Relations.
  • Understanding of regulations and legislation (i.e., ADA, DOL, FLSA, EEO, NYS Wage /Hour) governing compensation. Strong quantitative, data analysis, and organization skills.
  • Provide support and recommendations to Labor Relations during negotiations.
  • Participate in the completion of consultant salary surveys utilized by the medical center for analysis.
  • Conducts or participates in Ad-Hoc compensation and benefits projects.
  • Develop and recommend new Human Resources forms and questionnaires related to compensation.
  • Review relevant employee records and documents and analyzes causes of over/underpayment.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for salary survey data.
Educational and or Certification Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's Degree (in HR related field), or demonstrated knowledge through work equivalent to bachelor’s degree.
  • 1-5 years’ experience.
  • Fluent in Excel and MS Office
  • Healthcare background preferred.
  • Prior Compensation administration experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in job description preparation, job evaluation, incentive plan development and compensation planning.
