Job Description
Our client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care, is hiring a highly skilled Operating Room Nurse Manager to oversee their perioperative services. This pivotal role ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care across pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative, and gastrointestinal surgical areas, contributing significantly to patient outcomes and departmental excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the perioperative department, including the operating room, pre/post-op, and GI areas.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to healthcare protocols and standards.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient care and surgical workflows.
- Align departmental objectives with the hospital’s strategic priorities.
- Oversee staff performance, development, scheduling, and staffing efficiency.
- Monitor and manage the unit’s financial budgets to ensure optimal resource utilization.
Requirements:
- MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) degree from an accredited program or enrolled in a master’s program with an expected graduation within three years of employment.
- Valid New York State Nursing License.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in perioperative services.
- Progressive management experience in surgical services.
- Certification in BLS/ACLS/Infection Control.
- CNOR Certification.
- Membership in AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses).
