Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare provider specializing in pediatric and adolescent behavioral health services, is hiring a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Outpatient. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents, including diagnostic assessments and individualized treatment planning.
  • Manage outpatient medication therapy, including follow-up visits and ongoing adjustments.
  • Provide evaluated patient care within the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) as well as outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, counselors, care coordinators, and community programs to ensure cohesive, family-centered care.
  • Engage families and caregivers in treatment processes, providing education and support to promote adherence and understanding.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical records.
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical best-practice implementation.
  • Facilitate appropriate referrals to community and specialized resources to support patient needs.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree (required).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (required).
  • Eligible for medical licensure in New York State (required).
  • Strong clinical skills in outpatient psychiatric care, with sound clinical judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
