Job Description
Our client, a leading healthcare provider specializing in pediatric and adolescent behavioral health services, is hiring a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Outpatient. This organization is committed to delivering comprehensive, family-centered mental health care through an integrated continuum of services, including outpatient therapy, day treatment programs, and innovative community-based initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents, including diagnostic assessments and individualized treatment planning.
- Manage outpatient medication therapy, including follow-up visits and ongoing adjustments.
- Provide evaluated patient care within the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) as well as outpatient settings.
- Collaborate closely with therapists, counselors, care coordinators, and community programs to ensure cohesive, family-centered care.
- Engage families and caregivers in treatment processes, providing education and support to promote adherence and understanding.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical records.
- Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical best-practice implementation.
- Facilitate appropriate referrals to community and specialized resources to support patient needs.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree (required).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (required).
- Eligible for medical licensure in New York State (required).
- Strong clinical skills in outpatient psychiatric care, with sound clinical judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, patient- and family-centered care.
