Job Description
A leading community hospital in Queens, NY, is seeking a Chief of Hematology and Oncology to lead a state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer center committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. The Chief of Hematology and Oncology will lead a multidisciplinary team of medical oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists, and surgeons in delivering high-quality oncologic and hematologic services. The Cancer Center is a Commission on Cancer-designated Community Cancer Program, emphasizing a comprehensive, patient-focused approach to treatment. This role includes clinical, leadership, and research responsibilities, with opportunities to contribute to a well-established and robust clinical research program aimed at advancing cancer and hematologic treatments. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape a thriving oncology program in one of New York’s most dynamic healthcare environments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical care in hematology and medical oncology, including outpatient and inpatient services.
- Lead the strategic direction, integration, and growth of the oncology/hematology service line.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to optimize resources, improve operational efficiency, and develop new patient services.
- Participate in key hospital committees and programs, including the Cancer Committee and Multidisciplinary Tumor Board Conference.
- Maintain high standards of clinical excellence through close collaboration with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to medical education, including training residents and medical students.

Requirements:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- New York State Medical License.
- Board Certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
- Minimum 5+ years of clinical and leadership experience in hematology/oncology.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Commitment to team-based, mission-driven patient care.
- Visa (J1/H1B) sponsorship is available.
