Job Description
Our client, a large non-profit mental and behavioral health services provider, is hiring a Chief Quality Officer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leadership in the areas of quality improvement and programmatic change management
- Oversee the Quality Improvement Department
- Serve as a member of the organization’s Senior Management team
- Oversee key quality management and improvement functions
- Develop quality of care standards
- Identifies opportunities for continuous quality improvement and change management
- Develops and implements environment of care best practices
- Develop and champion, in collaboration with other leadership, a culture of continuous quality improvement, change management, and the use of evidence-based models of care
- Establish strategic direction of the Quality-related functions
- Produce reports on quality improvement and outcomes, presenting directly to leadership
Job Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar demonstration of experience, skill, and training
- Minimum of five years of experience leading a quality improvement /assurance function, at a healthcare or health-focused organization. Preferred candidates have experience with outcomes measurement and/or management in an environment utilizing evidence-based treatments.
- Experience in performing and managing Continuous Quality Improvement activities
- Experience with formal project management, six sigma, and lean start-up methodologies is critical.
