Description: Our client, a large non-profit mental and behavioral health services provider, is hiring a Chief Quality Officer.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Leadership in the areas of quality improvement and programmatic change management
  • Oversee the Quality Improvement Department
  • Serve as a member of the organization’s Senior Management team
  • Oversee key quality management and improvement functions
  • Develop quality of care standards
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous quality improvement and change management
  • Develops and implements environment of care best practices
  • Develop and champion, in collaboration with other leadership, a culture of continuous quality improvement, change management, and the use of evidence-based models of care
  • Establish strategic direction of the Quality-related functions
  • Produce reports on quality improvement and outcomes, presenting directly to leadership

 Job Requirements: 

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar demonstration of experience, skill, and training
  • Minimum of five years of experience leading a quality improvement /assurance function, at a healthcare or health-focused organization. Preferred candidates have experience with outcomes measurement and/or management in an environment utilizing evidence-based treatments.
  • Experience in performing and managing Continuous Quality Improvement activities
  • Experience with formal project management, six sigma, and lean start-up methodologies is critical.
