Job Description
Our client, a dedicated healthcare center, is hiring a Chief Medical Officer. As an inspiring leader and practicing clinician, the Chief Medical Officer will oversee clinical care strategy, drive quality improvement, and foster innovation to deliver high-quality, patient-centered services across diverse populations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight for all medical services, ensuring delivery of evidence-based, culturally competent care.
- Maintain an active clinical practice to stay connected with patient needs.
- Lead integration of medical, behavioral health, dental, and nursing services to promote coordinated care.
- Oversee clinical protocols, quality metrics, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to organizational growth and strategic planning.
- Lead clinical transformation initiatives, including practice redesign and team-based care models.
- Optimize use of health technology, including EHR systems and clinical decision support tools.
- Supervise and support medical staff, fostering professional development and engagement.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
- Represent the organization within the community and in public health initiatives, elevating trust and engagement.
Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited institution with board certification.
- Active, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in New York State.
- Proven clinical leadership experience within a healthcare center environment.
- Strong clinical background with ongoing commitment to direct patient care.
- Deep understanding of community healthcare delivery and the challenges faced by underserved populations.
- Experience with clinical quality improvement programs, EHR systems, and interdisciplinary care models.
- Collaborative leadership style with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Growth mindset with adaptability and capacity to lead change.
- Prior experience leading clinical transformation or practice redesign is highly desirable.
- Bilingual capabilities and experience working with diverse communities are a plus.
