Description: Hiring a Chief Financial Officer for a not-for-profit ambulatory healthcare Center. The Chief Financial Officer will administer, direct and coordinate the total fiscal operation of the Center.  The Chief Financial Officer will report to the President/CEO and Board of Directors as requested by CEO. The Chief Financial Officers will supervise Payroll, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and general accounting functions of the Finance Department. The CFO will be responsible for the fiscal management of all grants and serve as the center’ s liaison with all funding authorities on financial matters

Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment, training, supervision, disciplining and evaluation of Finance Department staff.
  • Supervise Payroll, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and general accounting functions of Finance Department.
  • Analyze payroll and develop management information reports.
  • Prepare budgets for all grant proposals and reports.
  • Responsible for deposit of all taxes, and payment of insurance premiums.
  • Oversee all program insurances to assure that they are up to date and in force.
  • Responsible for the fiscal management of all grants. Serve as the center’ s liaison with all funding authorities on financial matters.
  • Negotiate all contracts for the purchase of supplies, services, equipment and renovations
  • Monitor special reimbursement programs.
  • Negotiate with State, Federal and City agencies re: Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement
  • Prepare Cost Reporting and Cost Date Collection for DHHS.
  • Prepare Annual Expenditure Reports to DHHS.
  • Prepare all internal reports for Board of Directors, as requested by President & CEO.
  • Assist President & CEO in preparation of Center budget

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting
  • Master’ s Degree and/or CPA preferred

Experience Requirements:
  • 5 years’ experience in financial aspects of the healthcare field, including third party reimbursement mechanisms and Federal guidelines regarding budget and financing
  • Supervisory experience and experience with PC and computerized account systems
