Job Description
Our client, a prominent healthcare organization committed to serving the community through comprehensive and innovative care, is hiring a Chief Financial Officer. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee comprehensive financial planning and analysis, and support the organization's mission of delivering high-quality, safety-net healthcare. This senior executive role requires a dynamic leader with extensive healthcare finance expertise, particularly in hospital reimbursement, revenue cycle management, and financial turnaround initiatives. The CFO will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s financial stability and long-term sustainability, directly engaging with the Executive team, Board of Trustees, and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Present financial performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
- Oversee revenue cycle management, including billing, collections, and payer performance analysis.
- Lead government reimbursement strategies, particularly Medicare and Medicaid, identifying and maximizing supplemental funding opportunities.
- Manage relationships with governmental agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Direct operational finance activities encompassing managed care contracting, physician productivity evaluations, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Develop and evaluate infrastructure investments, capital expenditures, and return on investment analyses.
- Assist in grant procurement and financing initiatives to support organizational growth and infrastructure development.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to advance operational improvements and cost management strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of senior healthcare financial leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years as a CFO, Deputy CFO, or equivalent role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance; MBA, MHA, CPA, or an equivalent advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Deep expertise in hospital reimbursement models, including Medicaid, Medicare, DSH, UPL, DPT, GME, and supplemental payments.
- Strong strategic planning and operational discipline.
- Proven experience in hospital turnaround, cost management, and revenue cycle transformation,
- Excellent communication skills suited for board-level interactions.
- Ability to collaborate and lead diverse teams effectively.
