Job Description
Our client, a nonprofit teaching hospital serving an ethnically diverse residential neighborhood in New York City, is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a dynamic, mission-driven environment that combines clinical excellence with a commitment to education and community health. The Interventional Cardiologist will play a key role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care through minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases. This role includes both clinical responsibilities and administrative duties, contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering outstanding cardiac care while supporting education and program development.
Responsibilities
- Perform catheter-based interventions, including angioplasty, stenting, and other advanced cardiovascular procedures.
- Diagnose and manage patients with complex coronary and structural heart disease.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including general cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiovascular surgeons.
- Participate in hospital-wide initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and advancing interventional cardiology services.
- Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows as part of the hospital’s academic mission.
- Contribute to quality improvement programs and administrative responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Interventional Cardiology.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York.
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Will consider new graduates with the appropriate training.
