Job Description
Our client, a prominent community teaching hospital in New York City with a strong commitment to advancing cardiovascular care, is hiring a Cardiologist, Cardiac Electrophysiology. This vital role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead electrophysiology services within a collaborative and growing cardiology team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, and implantable device procedures including pacemakers and defibrillators.
- Diagnose and treat complex arrhythmias using catheter-based techniques and device interventions.
- Conduct cardiac monitoring, heart imaging, tilt table tests, and related diagnostics.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, residents, and other specialists to develop tailored patient care plans.
- Participate in inpatient rounds, outpatient clinics, and procedural interventions in the hospital’s on-site cath lab.
- Contribute to resident education and teaching activities within the cardiology department.
- Provide consultative services for arrhythmia management and assist in program development initiatives.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology.
- Proven experience in performing electrophysiology procedures, including EP studies, ablations, and device implantation.
- Strong knowledge of heart rhythm management and diagnostic testing techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including one week of PCI call every four weeks, with compensation for night call coverage.
