Job Description
Our client, a nationally renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently hiring a Manager Health Service Receivables.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversees the output and quality of all payer accounts receivable under their scope, and collaborates with Patient Support Services to identify strategies for performance improvement
- Manages and monitors the performance of business office staff members, motivating them to work quickly and with precision
- Manage Surgical Coordinators schedule and productivity
- Assists with developing departmental program planning, strategy, and goals for increased revenue reimbursement and makes recommendations to improve processes to prevent future cash losses and to optimize reimbursement
- Supervises business office personnel in the completion of all essential functions
- Develops and maintains productivity standards for areas of direct responsibility and monitors adherence to those standards
- Provides coaching and feedback to staff
- identifies and re-trains underperforming staff members
- Educates senior leadership and physicians on billing processes.
- Monitor metrics and KPI performance.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years experience in Healthcare business office (in areas such as accounts receivable, collections, billing, financial counseling etc.), preferred
- Ability to present information in a clear, concise manner
- Excel, Pivot tables and V-look-ups
