Job Description
Our client, a leading healthcare organization with a strong commitment to employee health and workplace safety, is seeking an Assistant Director of Occupational Health Services, Physician Assistant (PA). This leadership role blends strategic operational oversight with hands-on clinical practice to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant occupational health services across a diverse institutional environment.
This position is structured as 70% administrative leadership and 30% clinical care, offering an ideal opportunity for a clinician ready to step into an operational role while maintaining direct patient engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight of patient care delivery, including occupational health evaluations, treatment plans, and follow-up services for employees, staff, and learners.
- Oversee operational aspects of Occupational Health Services, including supervising clinical and administrative staff, managing workflows, and fostering professional development.
- Coordinate scheduling, resource management, and program growth initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Assist in budget management, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization and adherence to fiscal policies.
- Conduct and oversee pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty, and periodic health evaluations in compliance with organizational, regulatory, and public health standards.
- Manage occupational exposure assessments, immunization programs, vaccine counseling, and medical surveillance initiatives, including TB screening and respirator clearance.
- Partner closely with Infection Prevention, Risk Management, and Human Resources teams to support health initiatives, case management, and regulatory compliance.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators, preparing reports that support leadership decision-making and continuous quality improvement.
- Ensure departmental readiness for audits, surveys, and accreditation reviews, serving as a primary liaison with regulatory and oversight bodies.
Requirements:
- Active licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of practice.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 1 year in occupational health or related field.
