Our client, a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, is hiring a highly skilled Allergy and Immunology Physician. This full-time outpatient role offers a unique opportunity to lead clinical care for both adult and pediatric patients in a well-established private practice setting on Long Island, NY. Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and patient education within a collaborative team environment. Manage a diverse patient population, develop comprehensive care plans, and oversee clinical operations to ensure the highest quality of care. This position emphasizes a balanced work schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with minimal call responsibilities, allowing for an excellent work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead outpatient care for adult and pediatric patients, including diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Evaluate test results and develop individualized treatment strategies, including prescribing medications.
- Provide both preventive and acute care, focusing on health maintenance and disease management.
- Educate patients about their conditions and promote wellness and self-management.
- Document patient encounters accurately, including exam findings and treatment plans.
- Develop and oversee patient care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
- Participate in shared night and weekend call coverage with other physicians.
- Supervise clinical staff, including nurses and assistants, and oversee interns and medical students.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and quality benchmarks established by relevant health authorities and payors.
- Build and sustain a patient base to support practice sustainability.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Allergy and Immunology by the American Board.
- NYS licensure to practice medicine.
- Fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology.
- Proven experience in outpatient, primary care, or group practice settings.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead a clinical team and ensure high-quality patient care.
